The Role:
This is a proactive, outbound-focused sales role for someone who is highly motivated, comfortable with rejection, and thrives on building their own opportunities. You’ll be expected to independently research and identify your own leads using industry tools and resources – you won’t be given pre-made lists.
You will be targeted on outreach activities, spending much of your day researching events, identifying companies to target, and confidently making high volumes of calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach. You must be driven, resilient, and eager to build relationships from scratch.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively research events, exhibitions, and target companies in new sectors
Build your own prospect lists using available tools and platforms
Conduct high-volume outbound calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach to generate leads
Consistently book and deliver discovery calls and meetings with decision-makers
Present creative proposals and manage the sales process from lead to close
Attend key industry events and exhibitions as required
Track all activity and pipeline opportunities via Copper
Key Attributes:
- Minimum 1 year of outbound sales or business development experience (exhibition or event industry experience ideal but not essential)
- Passion for outbound sales and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-activity environment
- Strong phone presence and confidence in cold outreach.
- Highly self-motivated and resilient with a “hunter” mentality
- Consultative selling skills and ability to close discovery calls and proposals
- Strong relationship-building skills, with ambition to grow accounts long-term
- Familiarity with CRM tools
This role is 5 days per week in office.
